Art - Pesaro

Is one of the 4 Provincial capitals of the Marche region: the furthest north, bordering with Emilia Romagna. The city lies between 2 hills: San Bartolo to the north and Ardizio to the south. The territory of Pesaro is one where historical events have created a unique and interesting mix of
artistic and cultural heritage. The city and the surrounding towns show evidence of various ages, set side by side so as to create an authentic mosaic of works and heritage: Roman, Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, up to the 1800s and Liberty. Testimony of this historical journey is seen through the splendid residential, religious and military architecture set in impressive urban contexts and in the marvellous panorama of the surrounding hills. Pesaro has 7 Km of beaches with fine sand and shallow water. One of the unique characteristics of Pesaro is the proximity of the sea to the old town centre which means the city can easily be visited on foot or by bike.
